Shin Sayomi
Name: Shin Sayomi

Age: 15
Occupation: Duelist
Height: 5'4"
Weight: 55KG
Personality: Shin has a very strange personality. He is very quiet around most people, and will only trust those who he keeps closest to him. He makes it hard to let people in to his heart due to his past. Even though his uncle helped them a lot to get there lives on to track, it could not change what had happened to him before hand. The days when his heart felt imprisoned in darkness.
When his Uncle decided bring him in, it opened his heart up just enough to let people in, to care for others. Not just him and his mother anymore. But, it only help him a small amount. It didn't help it as much as he had wanted, it is still hard for him to trust people he doesn't know without a reason for doing so.
Even when around his friends he is quite and sometimes believes that if he does something wrong they will leave him just like his father did. He never asked his mother why his father left, and she never decided to tell him. Once she was gone it was to late for Shin to find out, so he feels as if it was his fault his father left.
Alignment: Evil
Appearance: Shin has messy black hair that sweeps down in his eyes, pale skin, and dark blue eyes. Shin is often seen wearing a blue hoodie and a pair of black jeans with chains on the side, giving the impression of a rebellious nature. He was also seen wearing a white jacket with big pockets and various decorations on it and a pair of gloves Sometimes, Shin wears the school's uniform, which consists of a white shirt, a loose necktie, a black jacket, and black pants. He is also seen carrying around Kurikara that is covered in a red sleeve.
Biography: Shin's past is not a friendly one. He was just a normal child, had a mother, father, friends.. But that soon changed. You see, Shin's father left him. He and his mother were all alone in the world. This ment that Shin being a young age, had to take time out of his social life to be able to help his mother. Shin's social life wasn't the only thing that suffered, Shin's education was also going down the drain, have to take days off school to help around the house. The time he had for homework was very limited, his mother was getting weak, and they were in debt.
Shin and his mother had to move out of the house by the time he turned fourteen. They went to live with his aunt, a cranky woman who was really up herself. There was no wonder that she didn't have a husband. She really despised Shin's mother, so they got treated horribly.
Nothing had changed from where they use to live. They still had to all the work, they were like slaves. The short times that Shin did have off, he would watch comedy shows on TV, see all the happy smiling faces in the crowd, and all he was doing was being.. Well, random. There were no jokes really, just getting hurt and doing silly gags that had almost no meaning to them but to make the crowd have a laugh around each other. Shin then wanted to make other people feel like those people did, even if it is just socially.
Shin's Uncle soon moved to town and heard about what position Shin and his mother was in and offered them a better, and more enjoyable life. He was a good man, tall at that, like a pro basketball player. He was not really around woman, his wife was a reporter that worked almost all the time. It turns out she actually had some descent hours, just she put in lots of over time. Shin, his mother and his Uncle tried to do all of the work so she wouldn't have to do that much.
Shin and his mothers lives were just getting back on track. Shin started to be around his friends a lot more on weekends and holidays and such. He became a lot more use to having others around. But this happiness and good life couldn't last forever.
When Shin was sixteen his mother became very ill. She was placed in hospital and Shin gave up all his free time to be with her. From school he would walk all the way to the hospital to sit there for hours praying that his mother would come home safely. Every day he regretted the time of the day when the nurse would come in and tell him visiting times were over, he would try to make every excuse not to leave. But they never worked.
She died three days before Christmas of that year. Shin's life went down hill, he felt as if he was trapped in an endless pool of darkness, screaming and banging on doors trying to find his way out.
Soon enough he started to play duel monsters, and the rest is history.
